Advertising today is a multi-billion dollar industry. To
reach prospective customers, companies spent millions of dollars on ads.
This technology is essentially a public ledger that stores
and dispenses the data. Everyone that uses block chain can see and share all
its data. Each user plays a role to keep it update and transparent. The system
works by keeping data stored in a chain-like pattern and the transaction
history is stored in "blocks". Information stored in a blockchain can
only be added to it. It cannot be changed or copied.
If someone attempted to change the history or try to hack
the system, the ledger should be updated on all the user's computers.
In fact, the decentralized nature, freedom and amplified
security features makes it perfect storage for virtual money.
Blockchain helps the Businesses in creating marketing
campaigns of better value.
Goodbye Middleman: Businesses pay directly to the prospective
customers in the form of microcurrencies once it is proved that they watched
their ad.
One update is that, TheBravo Browser already stated this
using "Basic Attention Token" [BAT].
On the other side of the coin, Blockchain provides accurate stats
that can be trusted by all means on adtracking front, since the system is
encrypted and transparent.
This revolutionary technology also aims to improve Merchants
Accountability in every step of the supply chain.
Blockchain based protocols could change how online ads are
purchased, delivered, measured and valued. However, the system is still in its initial
stages, but it has the potential to impact digital marketing, crypto currency
and customer experience and expected to see a significant growth in the coming year. Any way I didn't spoke anything on what are those Blockchain
companies (like Bitclave), or examples of Blockchain technology (like Ethereum)
or what the "smart contracts" means.
